New Recipe! "Not Quite LCM Bars"

Shrove Tuesday has just been and gone but this is my most-cooked, family-brekky favourite by far.
A simple recipe that I know off the top of my head to easily double and triple depending on numbers.
No sugar added, all the sweetness comes from your choice of topping.
These are so good you can give away as a gift - like the ones you love in a picnic hamper, yet fresher of course with no preservatives.
They look beautiful with the poppy seeds too.
NB the dough also freezes well.
I use hot smoked trout or salmon as the flavour is amazing - and for a treat I sometimes top it all with some fresh salmon roe.
Super fast and full of flavour! Perfect midweek meal cooking for 1 - 2 people, or more!
