Keep an eye out for broadbeans!(aka fava beans) They have a very short season and growers are just starting to pick. This salad is simple and so fresh. I love the way Italians, Spanish etc make the most of these seasonal specialties.

I just had the most delicious pancakes with home-made chocolate sauce at Le Petit Cafe in Coogee which inspired me to highlight this recipe - it is too easy and what a simple dessert over ice cream, pancakes or on top of an Orange cake etc... yum!

Broccoli is fantastic right now and this is a decadent, warming soup that has a special touch - the British love this blue cheese combination with broccoli or cauliflower soup and it suits this late winter weather perfectly.
I recommend using Blue Castello if you can't find a Windsor Blue - Whitestone does a great one if you can find it however.
