Recipe of the week - Hungarian layered pork mince with rice, sauerkraut and sour cream

This dish is divine.
Apparently a regular family meal in Hungary, it just needs the time to prepare.
The flavours meld together in the oven to produce a lasagne-sized meal full of goodness.
My husband often has thirds of this one!
Also known as- Kolozsvári Rakott Káposzta.

Recipe of the week - Wholemeal chocolate almond cake

This cake is often given to people in times of need- after birth, or an illness, as it is a nourishing cake.
It has been a great one for the house right now at the end of the home schooling day.
We call it the chocolate chip cake!

Recipe of the week - Katie's chicken noodle soup

Immunity building time, and soup is still one of the best ways to provide the body with nutrients.
You can use a whole (free range) chicken or chicken pieces- it is best to buy the chicken on the bone if you can as many nutrients are created by cooking the bone broth.

Recipe of the week - Chicken Marbella

From the American cookbook Silver Palate 1979!

This is still an amazing, and yes retro, dish!

Chicken baked with prunes, capers and olives - these flavours meld and bake so beautifully together, and it is a one pot wonder, perfect to feed a crowd!
