Recipe of the Week - Meatballs Baked in Passata

Meatballs Baked in Passata

I cooked this last night and yet again it is still my favourite meatball recipe- they are so good!

Great balance of flavours, and a good one to prep in advance and bake for the 40 minutes before serving time.

Easy steps where you don't need to precook onion etc, and the frying is quick as you are browning rather than worrying about them being cooked through as they will have that final bake in the oven.

We had it with macaroni as well which was surprisingly a great combo, especially as I had rolled fairly small, bite-sized meatballs.

You could double this recipe and freeze some portions too.

Recipe of the Week- An Easy No Butter, No Chocolate, Chocolate Cake!

An Easy No Butter, No Chocolate, Chocolate Cake!

i.e. with cocoa and vegetable/light olive oil!

These are pantry ingredients you are more likely to have on hand so I find I make this cake quite often for last minute moments, also with the fact it is the fastest cake recipe I have (!)

It was the hit of the birthday party last night, every crumb eaten up, and many parents asking me for the recipe – so here it is!

Has a delicious fudgy texture the next day so I recommend making it in advance even!

This is in my top 5 dishes.

It is truly simple, and has my original favourite combination of accompaniments and flavours for a unique and special lamb meal.

All foodies should learn this technique for meltingly tender, fall off the bone lamb.

Home-made labna recipe included.
