I grew up with these little morsels, and was transformed to childhood when my children and I made them the other day. They are a great one to make with kids, simple recipe to follow, easy and fun to roll, and they love the fork press at the end for decoration. These turn out super crunchy once cooled too which kids also love.
Recipe found in my childhood cookbook – the Junior Cook, by Mary Pat Fergus.

100g butter, softened
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
1 cup plain flour
A pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips, or chopped chocolate - I like half dark half milk
Optional : spread nutella between two biscuits for "Baci biscuits"

Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Have 2 trays with baking paper ready.
Cream the butter, sugar and condensed milk with electric beaters.
Sift in the flour, salt and baking powder, mix well but quickly.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Roll into teaspoon sized balls and place on the prepared trays a few cms apart as they will spread a little when cooking.
Lightly press down with a fork to make an indentation into the balls of dough and flatten them a little (not too much) – have a cup of hot water nearby to dip the fork into if it gets sticky.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
Makes about 25
